Tam Coc (Three Cave) in Ninh Binh
This is the most favourite tourist attraction of tourists when travelling in Ninh Binh. Tam Coc means “three cave” stretching 2km along Bai Ngo River and making a wonderful scenery. Majesty limestone islets are surrounded by golden rice fields making magnificent and peaceful scenery. Wooden boats slowly float on the river making a lively choir.
If you want to experience, you should go to this place in the early morning or the lately afternoon. A boat can transfer 2 tourists in 2 hours to visit around this place. The boat will transfer you to three cave of Tam Coc including First Cave (13 metres in length), Middle Cave (70 metres in length) and Final Cave (45 metres in length). The price for a trip is 90,000VND/ person. You should remember to bring sun block and hat in sunny days of Vietnam summer.
Van Lam Village
Van Lam Village locates next to Tam Coc Restaurant. This is a traditional craft village of Ninh Binh selling tablecloths, children towel, pillowcase and clothing.
Bich Dong Temple
Bich Dong Temple gathers many charming limestone temples, far some kilometres from Tam Coc. Low Bich Dong Temple locates at the lowest place, from here, you will climb about 100 metres to Middle temple and a little bit to Highest temple. In those temples, you can see statues and sacred sceneries.
You can go to Tam Coc- Bich Dong by motorbike hired from your hotel. Staffs will give you some recommends about the road and travel tips for your trip. You also can book Tam Coc Bich Dong- Hoa Lu from Hanoi with the price from 440,000VND- 630,000VND ($20- $30).
The most impressive thing of tourist for this place is wonderful view on forking in front of the gate of the cave. See to the west, you can contemplate Ngo Dong River.
You should bring water because you need to spend 1 hour to explore this cave. Mua Cave is far 5km from Ninh Binh and a popular stop of tours to Tam Coc.
